Shellac Pedicure
Shellac pedicure, also known as gel pedicure, is a treatment similar to shellac manicure, but it focuses on the nails of the feet instead of the hands. It uses special gel products to create a durable and long-lasting nail polish that is resistant to wear and peeling.
Preparation
The feet are cleaned thoroughly to remove dirt and oil. The nails are cut and filed to the desired length and shape. The cuticles are gently pushed back to create a clean nail edge.
Treatment
- Cuticle care : The cuticles are softened with a special solution or oil, and any excess pieces are trimmed. This provides a neat base for the application of the gel polish.
- Base Coat : A clear or lightly colored base coat of shellac gel varnish is applied to the nails. The feet are placed under a UV or LED lamp to harden and strengthen the base coat.
- Color application : One or more layers of the desired colored gel polish are applied to the nails. Each layer is cured under the lamp between applications to create a solid and durable color.
- Top Coat : A clear top coat of shellac gel polish is applied to give shine and protection to the nails. This layer is also cured under the lamp to ensure that the nails are durable.
- Drying : After the topcoat has hardened, the feet dry completely. This is an important phase to avoid damage to the beautiful gel polish.
End
Any remaining gel polish around the nails or on the skin is carefully removed with a q-tip dipped in nail polish remover. This gives a neat and tidy finish.
Moisturizing
Feel free to end the pedicure with a moisturizing foot cream or oil to nourish the skin of the feet and cuticles.
Maintenance
Shellac pedicure gives you beautiful and durable nails on your feet that last for several weeks without peeling or fading. It is especially convenient for those who want to have beautiful toes without worrying about short-term maintenance. As with shellac manicures, it is important to visit a professional for the removal of shellac pedicures to avoid damage to the nails.
