CBCT
Get an accurate diagnosis with our CBCT technology in Oslo
Our CBCT technology allows us to visualize the teeth and jaws in 3D, and provides a precise diagnosis for effective treatment.
What is CBCT?
CBCT is a special form of X-ray examination that uses advanced technology to take 3D images of the teeth and jaws. This technology provides more accurate and detailed images than regular X-rays, and gives us the opportunity to see problem areas from different angles and perspectives. This allows us to detect and treat problems in a more precise and efficient way.
Panoramic X-ray
A panoramic X-ray , also known as panoramic radiography, is a two-dimensional image of your entire mouth. It captures the upper jaw, lower jaw, teeth, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and surrounding structures. It gives a broad overview of your dental health and is useful for evaluating conditions such as impacted teeth, jaw bone abnormalities, cysts, tumors and general dental and bone health.
How does CBCT work?
CBCT works by taking multiple images of the teeth and jaws from different angles and perspectives. These images are then assembled into a 3D model of the teeth and jaws. This 3D model can be used to plan treatment, identify hidden problems and see how the teeth and jaws will look after an operation or treatment.
What problems can CBCT detect?
CBCT can detect a variety of problems that plain X-rays cannot pick up, including problems with the roots of teeth, wisdom teeth, the jaw joint, jawbone, sinuses and more. By detecting these problems early, we can plan treatment in a more precise and effective way.
Is CBCT safe?
Yes, CBCT is safe and uses a low dose of radiation. We take all necessary precautions to ensure that our patients receive the most accurate diagnosis while being safe and comfortable during the procedure.
Dental Health Tips:
- Brush your teeth properly: Brush your teeth thoroughly twice a day for at least two minutes each time. Use a fluoride toothpaste to strengthen tooth enamel.
- Clean between the teeth: Use dental floss or interdental brushes daily to remove plaque and food debris that the brush cannot reach.
- Visit the dentist regularly: Go to the dentist at least twice a year for routine check-ups and professional teeth cleaning.
- Eat a healthy diet: Reduce your intake of sugary foods and drinks that can lead to tooth decay. Eat more fruits, vegetables and calcium-rich foods to maintain strong teeth.
- Avoid tobacco products: Smoking and sniffing can cause dental problems and gum disease. Try to stop or reduce the use of these products for better dental health.
- Protect your teeth during activities: Use a mouth guard during sports activities or when you perform activities with a risk of tooth damage.
